Around here, we believe there is still plenty of good in this world. Sometimes you just have to slow down long enough to notice it.
You might find it underneath an old magnolia tree, beside a mossy little patch of mushrooms, down a winding woodland trail, or hiding inside a story that makes you laugh harder than you probably should.

And I don’t think we’ve outgrown that.
Southern Fried Mail is my way of sending a little piece of that happiness out into the world.

Some things might make you laugh.
Some might make you remember something you’d forgotten.
And every now and then, something might touch your heart.
That’s the whole point.
Legacy
I hope my legacy is joy.
I hope I’m remembered as someone who noticed the magic in ordinary days and shared it wherever I could.
I hope somebody keeps one of my letters tucked in a drawer because it made them laugh when they needed it. I hope a recipe gets stained from being made over and over again. I hope a quilt gets worn thin from picnics, naps, babies, grandbabies, and years of being loved.
I hope my stories remind somebody to go outside, look around, and realize there is still so much goodness in this world.
And long after I’m gone, I hope a little piece of the happiness I put into the world is still traveling from one person to another.
That would be enough for me.
